Guitar Humidor™ Stand and travel case

For those who want a simple solution, we offer this travel case and stand combination. The case used here is a standard travel case, (brand may vary) and is not a Guitar Humidor™ case. We drill and fasten the case to the stand and take out the storage box and install our Humi-Tube adjustable humidifier. This is a viable short-term solution that offers good protection but has a drawback as guitars may fit too tightly in a travel case. We offer the case only in the larger dreadnought size to provide the bigger space needed to improve the ability to put take the guitar in and out of the case. We highly recommend the Prism Tolex as a more ideal solution, however for simplicity and cost effectiveness this is a nice tradeoff of costs vs convenience/looks.

Guitar Humidor™ Stand

This stand provides just the right amount of incline to your case to allow the door to swing up just a little and also to allow the guitar to lean back into the case as you put it to rest. We make the stand available for those who wish to stand their travel case up and out of the way. Velcro is used to connect stand and case.

Humi-tube™

Humi-Tube™ is a custom designed humidifier for the Guitar Humidor™ case, although it can be used successfully in other cases and travel cases. It is unlike any other case humidifier in that it has an adjustable aperture that controls how much moisture is released from the unit. The unit uses an amazing silicon gel that holds far more water than sponges or oasis foam used in other products. Yet will not drip or spill. No messy special solutions that can cause staining on your instrument. The gel should last years requiring only recharging with water. Easy to refill, just sit in a glass of water for 3 minutes, shake and wipe dry turning the adjustment several times to ensure no trapped water. Each humidifier will hold 2 ounces of water, more than the other available units in the market which gives you a much longer time between refills. Unit dimensions approximately 3.8"x 2“x 1.8".

Hygrometers

Analog

Our analog hygrometer is one of the best we have found yet still reasonably priced. The analog hygrometers are not usually as accurate or as fast as the digital hygrometers. However they offer a much easier to read dial and have an aesthetic appeal not found in the digital hygrometers. This hygrometer is adjustable and we suggest that you buy the hygrometer calibration package to adjust it correctly once you receive it. You should recalibrate hygrometers every 6 months.

Choose from these sizes:

$24.95 Large, 2.25" diameter
$24.95 Medium 2" diameter (not pictured)
$24.95 Small 1.6" diameter

Digital

The digital hygrometer we offer is typically more accurate than the analog and comes with a liquid crystal display. It is also faster than the analog gauge and therefore show changes in humidity more quickly. However it can be more difficult to read from an angle than an analog gauge.

Humidipak Calibration Package

Use this to test your hygrometers. A one step process that provides a sealable bag that will create a 75.5% RH guaranteed environment for allowing you to calibrate and set your hygrometer. It is a good idea to calibrate hygrometers twice a year.

LED Dimmer

LEDs are a perfect lighting solution for a case because they do not get hot. The plastic lens also will not scratch your guitar if accidentally bumped. However if you wish to dim an LED it takes a special dimmer circuit as LEDs do not actually dim. The way to effectively dim an LED is to pulse it at a rate so fast that the pulse is imperceptible to the human eye. By varying the pulse rate the LED is only lit a part of the time and therefore appears dimmer. This small box can be attached to the back of the case and is adjusted by a knob from full off to full on. The dimmer has a secondary benefit of energy savings.
